5 Tips to Help You Get the Most Out of Online Vape Shops

Buying vape from an online retailer can be hit and miss. I've bought some of my favourite juices online, but at the same time, I've also ended up with some real low quality, vile, "juices".

Fortunately, there are things that you can do to improve your chances of buying decent vape juice when buying online. My 5 tips will help you to find the decent retailers.

  1. Always test the retailer before buying in bulk

Whenever you find a new retailer, you have to test them out before you go for any of their deals. You might think that you've stumbled across a killer deal, but what can often happen is that you end up with a large supply of juices that just don't taste good.

The best way to avoid problematic retailers is to test them first and see how their products match up to expectations, and to avoid cheap vendors.  Cheap sellers are often poor quality sellers.

  1. Read the forums and reviews to see how other people rate the retailer

The vape community is very active online. This is a good thing when you're looking for a new vape shop for your supplies because you will often find people somewhere talking about them. The best forums are those that are active, such as the vape subreddits.

Not only will they be able to give you advice about a particular retailer, they'll also let you know about the quality of their products, e.g. if WFFL e Liquid is worth buying.

  1. Look online for any discounts the retailer may be offering

Many of the online vape shops run frequent discounts, but you often need to know where to find the vouchers for these offers. Again, check out the online forums to see which businesses are offering vouchers and discounts at that time.

  1. Make sure they’re conforming to the Tobaccos Product Directive

If you're in the UK, I recommend that you make sure that the retailer you're buying from conforms to the rules of the tobacco product directive. This will help you to ensure that the juices that you buy a safe.

For example, if a juice is stocked by a number of UK based retailers, meaning that it almost certainly conforms to safety standards. If it didn't, it would be illegal for the shops to sell it.

  1. Read up on the particular juice – some might need steeping before they taste good

Finally, you should do some research about the particular juice that you're buying to see if there is anything that you need to understand. For example, I find that WFFL e-liquid tastes better once it's been steeped for a few days. The thought of steeping this juice for any length of time haven't crossed my mind at all, but I read about it on a forum, tried it, and loved it.

Following these Simple Rules will help you to get the most out of your online vape experience.

Vapers: How to Make Your Coils Last Longer

Coils can be one of the trickiest things to get a handle on when it comes to vaping. He's probably experienced the bitter taste that can happen when they start to go.  They're supposed to last a long time, but sometimes they seem to deteriorate rapidly. This is usually due to a number of different factors, which we will explore here.

By the time you reach the end of this article, you should have a much better idea of how to look after your coils and ensure that they last as long as possible.

Tip 1:  Prime your coils

Priming just means covering your coils in a special liquid that will help to minimise the rate at which they corrode.  Corrosion usually happens because of the heat from the device. If you have a powerful device, you'll find that your coils deteriorate faster than with a less powerful device.

Make sure that your work is always well saturated before you activate your device.  To do this, drip your e-juice on to the part of the coil where it meets the wick, wait a few minutes, and then start vaping.

Not priming your coils is one of the main problems that we see at the vapour shop London It appears to be the most common reason that people's coils fail quickly.

Tip 2:  Don't use as much power

When you run a powerful device, it's good because it allows you to create thick clouds of vapour, but it's bad because it can wear out your equipment much faster, especially your coils.  If you want to preserve your coils longer, you'll need to sacrifice those clouds a little bit.

A good way to compensate for the loss of clouds is to vape a high vegetable glycerine juice. This will help you to create thick vapour clouds without having to burn out your coils.  Unfortunately, if you already vape high vegetable glycerine juices, you're going to have to take a hit on the size of your clouds.

Tip 3:  Keep your tank topped up

If you think your juices when the tank has very little e-juice, it will have an effect on the coil because the coil will get hotter than normal.  This is something that people tend to do when they are new to vape, and so we see a lot of new vapours at the vapour shop London who have problems with their coils because they're  running their tanks too low.

It has also been made particularly problematic with the recent legislation of the Tobacco Products Directive. The TPD has ruled that tanks cannot hold a volume of more than 2 ml of liquid at a time. It's quite easy to burn through your liquid without noticing when you have such a small tank.  The solution is just to keep an eye on your tank and make sure you don't run it too low.

What You Can Do To Help Boost The Positive Imagery Of The Vape Community

Have you noticed lately how people are talking about vapers?  We're getting quite a negative rap.  Mostly, is to do with people assuming that the habit as dangerous and also to do with how the community is viewed, in particular the problem of "vape bros".

The negative views of the vape community can be a dangerous thing. In the long term, it could lead to a ban on vaping, and this is a terrible thing because many people vape as a replacement for smoking. That means, people will go back to smoking, and this will lead to more of the problems associated with smoking, such as lack of energy and serious diseases.

The negative views also put other people off from taking up baking. There are plenty of people out there who were smoking who would be better off Vaping, but won't make the move because of the belief that they are cool enough to vape, and that's largely because of the vape bros acting up.

So what can you do to help bring a better image to the vaping community? Here are a few of my ideas:

  1. Arm yourself with knowledge and prevent the spread of disinformation. Disinformation is a huge problem with the internet. We've all seen how fake news can affect people's beliefs and voting preferences.  Get to know the genuine research surrounding vape and its safety.

A good resource for this is the Public Health England website, the NHS website, and  some journals on Google Scholar. The next time somebody told you about popcorn lung, or some other perceived fear, you can come to this with the correct information from a reliable source.

Whilst someone people will ignore the truth regardless, you will at least be changing some people's point of view.

  1. Don't litter. I live near a number of e-juice London shops and I can tell you that bakers don't have the best record with keeping their environment tidy. It's quite common to see coils and wicks littering floor, with the occasional bottle thrown in for good measure. Don't do this.

Littering is bad no matter what you're throwing on the floor. You might think that your wicks are biodegradable, but that doesn't matter, it makes the environment less.

Throw your stuff away in a bin as a normal person would. It's not big and it's not clever to litter.

  1. Make sure that you look after your battery is properly. One of the big negatives around vaping is the risk of batteries exploding. This risk has been massively exaggerated by the media, and the risk of your batteries exploding is pretty much on a par with your risk of your mobile phone battery exploding.

Nevertheless, still need to keep an eye on your battery to make sure that it is safe. If you see any signs of damage or leakage, get rid of the battery. You have to throw them away responsibly. If you don't know how to do this, go to an e juice London shop and they might dispose of the battery for you.

IF YOU’RE GOING TO INDULGE THEN JUST GO ORGANIC

The word organic is all too often used for produce in supermarkets, farmers markets and even by small-holders selling on roadside stalls.

But unless you have got an official food and safety certificate proving it to be organic, nobody is allowed to use the word.

Despite the trouble qualifying for food and drink producers to officially market their produce as organic, an increasing number of manufacturers do just that. Years ago, it was sometimes thought of as a bit of a fad and the production costs were always more than non-organic.

With the growing vape market, it probably comes as no surprise to learn there is now a range of organic e-juice. It took some time and experimentation, but it has been fully certificated.

Most vape juice contains nicotine, flavourings as well as VG and PG. But the organic variety is not permitted to have any PG as this is a synthetic petroleum derived product.

The result is a vape that still has plenty of flavour but is a taste that many converts enjoy above any other vape juice.

Now available as organic vape juice UK this is a brand that is well worth trying.

The WHO advised against vaping a few years ago and this is one of the reasons a number of countries around the world have banned the use. But more recently, many medical professionals are accepting that it must be better than the damage tobacco does.

The problem is that vaping has only been with us for less than twenty years so long-term effects are unknown. This is always the argument the anti-brigade use. But the fact is that tobacco leaf contains around a thousand trace chemicals of which it is known a few dozen are cacogenic.

It therefore seems that vape juice, derived of no more than four known ingredients is likely to be less damaging.

It has also been pointed out by more than a few in the field, that those countries that still disapprove of vaping, have some of the heaviest tax duties on tobacco at a level that their governments may worry will disappear.

WHEN A GREEK GODDESS BECOMES A NEW VAPE JUICE

In Greek mythology Andromeda was a goddess rescued from certain death by Perseus with whom she later had nine children.

When she died, she became a heavenly constellation that can be seen today. OK, it’s mythology, but those Greeks wrote some highly entertaining ideas worthy of Goethe or Shakespeare.

The fact that it is a name chosen for a vape juice is harder to explain. But with around ten thousand e-juices it probably shouldn’t come as too much a surprise. It gets harder every day to think of original names for new ones.

Vaping has been responsible for taking at least three million British people off cigarettes. It’s the alternative way to get that familiar nicotine hit without the smoke. As a non-smoker, I for one prefer to get a whiff of strawberries in the air over stale burnt tobacco.

It’s not always immediately obvious to know by the name the flavour of the juice. After all, space jam andromeda UK is not a flavour that’s easy to guess. Nobody really knows what type of jam is eaten in space.

Tobacco smoke is easily absorbed into many materials whereas vape is basically just water and doesn’t leave any smell.

Ideally no nicotine should be the answer but it’s not an easy habit to just stop. There are countless different views on vaping and smoking with contradictory arguments. Without any long-term knowledge about vaping it’s hard to just say it’s harmless.

But one thing is for sure, tobacco contains a lot more than just nicotine and it’s some of the hundreds of trace chemicals that are known to be carcinogenic.

With vape juice, there are only three or four ingredients. And there’s even a chance to buy genuinely registered organic ones that have no PG in them.

It’s a combination of PG and VG that dictates the cloud content and in organic vape juice there is no PG as this is a derivative of petroleum origin.

WITH SO MANY PRODUCTS IT’S NO WONDER THERE ARE SOME STRANGE NAMES

Even if you are not a person with the new vaping habit, it’s still worth going online to see some of the names of the ten thousand different juices.

Much is written about vaping with so many divided opinions. Most of those that write about the possible side-effects have never smoked nor vaped.

The official line in countries around the world can vary enormously. Some countries have a total ban, many others seem to have no definitive policy whilst countries like the UK treat it as the same as conventional cigarette smokers.

There is also a theory that some countries have banned vaping because governments are worried about loss of revenue on packets of cigarettes. This may not be too far-fetched.

In the UK over twelve billion pounds was collected in cigarette tax for the year 2013. Presumably that figure has greatly increased by now as the price of a packet rises with every budget.

In that year, a whopping 83% of the packet went to the Exchequer. And when non-smokers moan about smokers being a burden on the NHS, they should look at the reports that estimate treating smoke complications cost a great deal less than twelve billion.

Getting back to the names of the e-flavourings, there’s one called clown e juice twisty. How anyone dreamed that up is hard to fathom. At least with Lemon meringue flavour, it’s easier to understand.

Names that sound like cakes or sweets are being criticised for attracting youngsters. The wrapping is also often a come-on to younger people and this is not, nor ever has been, the aim of vaping manufacturers.

Vaping is only meant as an alternative for existing cigarette smokers. It is intended as a stop-gap on the route to completely giving up nicotine.

Some people that have smoked most of their adult life say they find it hard to give up as a cigarette is a kind of prop. They can still suck on a vape stick that gives the flavour but may deliver no nicotine at all.
